General injuries/pain

Whether your knee has started to play up, you’ve just fallen and hurt yourself, or your shoulder has been bothering you for years, we can help. We are committed to getting to the root cause of the problem and offering the best advice about how to move forward. Our goals are to decrease pain in the short term, and build strength and resilience to reduce any future setbacks.

Sports injuries

Whether you suffer a traumatic or overuse injury, we will help see you all the way through to a successful return to play, with the aim of improving your performance while decreasing your risk of a future injury. We target our rehab exercises towards your specific sport, with the aim of increasing your confidence that you can play safely.

High performance training

If you are finding that you are unable to perform at your best due to deficits in range of motion, speed, strength or power, then we can provide you with advice and an exercise program. We take your fitness goals into account, and will work with you to create a periodised training schedule to meet your athletic needs.

Chronic pain

Chronic or persistent pain often requires a different approach to acute pain. We aim to arm you with the tools necessary to regain control, and help you achieve your goals. We will seek to educate you about pacing and a graded exposure to exercise, and ways that you can self-manage your pain.

Headaches/neck pain

Neck tightness and sensitivity could be a contributing factor to your headaches. We also understand the role of stress, sleep quality and exercise on neck pain, and aim to give you both some immediate pain relief but also holistic longer-term solutions.

Lower back pain

Lower back pain is the most common musculoskeletal condition. We routinely see patients whose sedentary postures, lack of exercise, inappropriate lifting loads, or running technique are contributing factors. We therefore seek to assess all possible contributing factors relevant to you, and provide you with an individualised approach to relieve your symptoms.

Adolescent injuries

Adolescents (under 18) can have different injuries due to their maturing skeletal system. The most common growing related pains present in the hips, knees and heels, and are usually the result of stress on the We work closely with younger populations to screen for these injuries and provide advice about how to manage them.

Falls prevention

As we age, the combination of poorer balance and decreased bone density can present risks to your overall health. We are passionate about the beneficial effects of strength and balance training, and will give you a home exercise program to decrease your risk of falls in the short and long term.

Post-operative rehabilitation

For patients who require surgery, we will work closely with your orthopaedic specialist to ensure a safe post-operative period. Depending on the surgery, this typically involves restoration of full range of motion before progressively building up strength.
